Zack Kennedy

Zack Kennedy, son of Sam Kennedy, is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He began playing tennis at the age of 3. Since then he has gone on to make a true name for himself as a student, athlete and coach. During his time at Westlake High School, Zack was ranked No. 31 nationally and No. 4 in the state of Georgia by TennisRecruiting.net as a senior. He also won championships at the U16 Southern Closed and Southern Closed Doubles events.

 

Zack played tennis his freshman year at Clemson where he recorded a 6-1 record in doubles play and a 2-1 record in singles. Zack would go on to complete his college tennis play with Georgia State University where he played as the No. 1 singles and doubles player.  As a student-athlete for GSU, Zack has been awarded many honors: Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, All-Conference Singles First Team two times, All-Conference Doubles Second Team and Sun Belt Player of the Week three times. Zack earned a career-high ITA ranking of No. 81 in 2017. Zack is an ATP ranked doubles player. He made his ATP main draw debut at the 2016 BB&T Atlanta Open in the doubles draw partnering with Christopher Eubanks.

 

Now serving as a Team Oudin Excellence Coach, Zack is focused on helping to take SACTA tennis players to the next level. With his experience on and off the court, Zack is intent on sharing his knowledge to help guide the youth of the South Atlanta Community Tennis Association.
